The saying often goes ‘Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder’, but while some things remain subjective, there are places that will leave us in awe and wonder.

From being surrounded by nature’s picturesque landscapes to boasting elegant views of the city skyline, here I’ve got a list of some of the most Instaworthy hotels and resorts that can be found throughout Southeast Asia. Are you ready?

 1. The Myst Dong Khoi Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)

Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the irregular façade of the Myst Dong Khoi Hotel exudes an element of mystery that will incite your sense of curiousity. The Myst Dong Khoi is a modern sanctuary that showcases the tales of Ho Chi Minh city from then and now.

Each element (stained-glass details, ancient roof tiles and exposed industrial parts salvaged from old shipyards) is carefully infused into the building interior giving guiests a glimpse of Ho Chi Minh City’s past charms and rich history.

 2. Fusion Suites Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)

Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of Tao Dan Park, the hotel’s choice of timber and tiles will leave you feeling zen during your course of stay. On top of that, be sure to check out their rooftop restaurant and lounge bar for an amazing views of the city. Definitely a perfect spot to enjoy your evening.

 3. Keemala Resort, Phuket (Thailand

Located in Phuket, Keemala Resort has been making its round on Instagram and I certainly know why. Besides its location that is surrounded with luscious greens, Keemala’s quirky pool villas are such remarkable architectural anomalies.

This resort is a celebration of four fictious clans who once walked the land, which are the earth clan, wanderers, sky peoples and nest clan. You’ll see their elements in each villa. My favourite will be the Bird’s Nest Pool Villa (a nest-like pod suspended amid the forest tree-tops). Doesn’t it sounds enticiting to you?

 4. The Strand, Yangon (Myanmar)

Yangon is one of the cities that I’ve been dying to explore. When I discovered The Strand Hotel, it made me wanting to fly and stay there immediately. The Strand is the perfect blend of modern luxury and age-old sophistication. A stay here will indirectly bring you to a bygone colonial era with its classic period furnishings.

After being revamped last year (2017), it is now boasts with a spanking new 18x8m infinity-edge swimming pool, a poolside terrace well-furnished to occupy 35 loungers and four private pool cabanas. On top of that, their suites are spacious with beautifully tiled bathrooms and teakwood floors. These are the things we would expect of a luxury hotel and more!

 5. Phum Baitang, Siem Reap (Cambodia)

Tucked just outside the city of Siem Reap, Phum Baitang is the perfect embodiment of an authentic Cambodian experience. The hotel is enveloped by eight acres of verdant gardens, lemongrass meadows and rice paddies.

One of its best highlights is the villa, which is designed to reveal and preserved the aged lustre of traditional Khmer wooden houses. Almost every corner of this property is a perfect spot for photography especially the freshwater infinity pool that overlooks the resort’s paddy fields

 6. Templation Hotel, Siem Reap (Cambodia)

An oasis at the gates of Angkor, Templation is a luxury eco-retreat fitted with 33 exclusive suites and villas, most of which boasts its own private pool for an added touch of privacy.

A calm respite from the hustle and bustle of the city life, a sense of serenity engulfs you from the moment you step into the property. Check out their villa where you can simply dreaming of enjoying a floating breakfast tray from the comfort of your private pool. Certainly an experience that deserves to be immortalised in picture.
Opting for an Instagrammable stay has becoming one of the major trends among travellers. If you’re one of them, be sure to check out any of these hotels and resorts. Snap away as much as possible and share those top-notch shots among your friends and family.
