Bila lagi nak continue explore Asian countries kan? Just so you know that asian countries have a lot to offer such as foods, buildings, culture and of course festivals.
Talking about festival, what festival that you wish to go and witness it by yourself? Uh oh! Before you give your answer, let me share my a-must-visited festival (and I really-really wish that I could go for this festival).
Let us hear (read) the conversation below to know what is the festival that I really want to go!
There you go! Now you know what is my choice. Well, previously I been to few countries in Asia but Korea is still not included in my “VISITED” list. Coincidentally, couldn’t fully recall it but last night tiba-tiba termimpi I was in the middle of Seoul while holding a fancy map surrounded by huge crowd of fashionable people & colourful lights.
I bet most Malaysians would love to go Korea, especially those who are a big fan of Korean dramas or Kpop.
DID YOU KNOW that there is a flight bound to Seoul (ICN) 14 times a week from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Seoul (ICN) via AirAsia X
Split by a fearsome border, the Korean Peninsular offers the visitors an amazing range of experiences, spectacular landscapes and 5000 years of culture and history. The name Korea is derived from the Kingdom of Goryeo, also spelled as Koryõ. Roughly half of the country’s 50 million people reside in the metropolitan area surrounding its capital, the Seoul Capital Area, which is the second largest in the world (with approaximately 25 million residents).

Tahukah anda bahawa ianya winter festival? Pernah rasa tak memancing/tangkap ikan masa winter?
What is it? The trout are know to live in the cold, fresh waters located in Hwancheon-gun. Some choose to jump into the icy waters for hand-fishing.
Why? – Dalam hati ni dah lama berhasrat nak bawa orang tersayang untuk travel, perhaps my parents. Before this asyik travel dalam negara je. Now, its time untuk ajak diorang travel dekat luar. If they want to travel, why not kan? Curious sangat apa la rasanya bila memancing masa musim sejuk. Other than that, terdapat juga aktiviti-aktiviti menarik yang lain pada musim winter ni sebagai contoh Snow & Ice Rides dan macam-macam lagi. Last but not least, of course this experience will be shared to my families, friends and readers!
Since I never been there, I could only use other’s photos to visualise the excitement of this festival through images

Selain daripada melihat festival menarik mereka, travelling to South Korea is never complete if you don’t taste their tradtional or signature dishes. Popular Korean dishes perhaps! Below are the list of foods that I have to try:

Its a healthy, cheap and delicious meal that’s usually served hot with rice. Looks nice and healthier!
This is most famous mainstream dishes, internationally, seasoned beef in savory sauce with mixed vegetables.
Kimchi? Hmmmm. I would love to try the authentic one, from South Korea. It’s made of fermented cabbage and seasoned with different ingredients.
Korean Fried Chicken
I know, we got various types of chicken in Malaysia but seeing the photo above makes me wanna go Korea and try their Korean Fried Chicken.
Seafood Pancakes
This fried dish is made with fresh vegetables with different kind of seafoods (shrimp, squid and oysters) served with soy based sauce. It can be eaten as a treat, appetiser or meal.
Darangee Village (경상남도 남해 가천 다랭이마을)
Seongsan Sunrise Peak (성산일출봉)
Jeungdo Salt Farm (전남 신안 증도 염전)
Kyeong-Wha Station, Jinhae (진해 경화역)
Gongryong Ridge, Seorak Mountain (설악산 신선대 공룡능선)

Sweet Potato Fact
They love sweet potato flavoured delicacies – main courses, desserts, chips, latte, bread and salads. Semua nak ada rasa sweet potato. Me too!
Born a Year Old
Born in South Korea, you are considered a year old. Meaning that, you’re a year older than others from outside of the country.
Drinking in Public is Legal
Uh? This country allows the people to drink in public. It is considered perfectly legal which the people can carry alcoholic containers in public & take a drink or two. Oh well.
Deathly Facts
Writing other’s name in red ink pen indicates the person is about to die (some of us also believe in this). They believe number 4 (four) brings unfortunate. Same. They believe leaving an electric fan overnight would kill the person sleeping directly below it (fan death concept). Uh, sounds like Final Destination.
Indeed, it is! They love to shop as this country has some of the biggest shopping malls in the world – stores open until 4 am & restaurants, bar, cafe open till 11 pm. No wonder South Korea is the best place for shopaholic.
Same like other countries, their flag has a whole lot of philosophy behind it.
Most of them speak and write the same language, which is Hangul. It consists of 14 consonants and 10 vowels.
Colour Coded Taxi
This one is quite interesting! The taxis in South Korea are coloured according to the level of service offered. Greay/white taxi, basic car and not so experienced driver. Black cab, you will get a luxury car with more experienced driver
